Portable batteries and e-cigarettes are not permitted in checked-in baggage, and must be carried in your carry-on baggage.
There are restrictions on the capacity and quantity of portable batteries that can be carried onboard, depending on their power rating. If your portable batteries have a high capacity or you have multiple units, security may check for an ‘approval sticker’ issued by the airline. Please be sure to inform an Air Premia staff member at the check-in counter.
Capacity | Quantity | Air Premia staff verification required? | Approval sticker required? |
---|---|---|---|
Below 100Wh | Up to 5 | No | No |
Below 100Wh | 6 or above | Yes | Yes |
Above 100Wh ~ Below 160Wh | Up to 2 | Yes | Yes |

*Wh Calculation: Voltage (V) x Current (Ah) / (1Ah = 1,000mAh)
✨TIP: Wh/mAh Conversion Chart for Common Portable Batteries (using 3.7V):
Wh | mAh | Voltage |
---|---|---|
100Wh | 27,000mAh | 3.7 |
160Wh | 43,000mAh | 3.7 |
